A Few Verses On Love

Published: 14 February 2007 | 7 comments

Since it’s Valentine’s day I just thought I’d post a few verses from the Bible on Love.

A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. – John 13:34-35

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. – 1 John 4:7

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails… – 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. – John 3:16

neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. – Romans 8:39

And how can you show your love to God? By showing love to others, by obeying him, by helping and guiding Jesus’ followers and by worshiping and praising him for his love to us.

My prayer is that you may all be filled to overflowing with the Love of the Lord, not just today but always and that you may also show your love him and others.

Peace and God bless you.

You’re welcome Matt. It was also a good reminder for me too. :)

This page is just what I needed today. God’s Word and Love must be our source of Strength. He never foresakes us even we we think he has, he is working on/for us. Sometimes we think he has forgotten us but he has not. The responses he gives us sometimes, are not the ones we want/expect but that is what he has in his plan for our life. Remember HE is the GREAT ARCHITECT!
1st Corinth 13 vs 4-8 was what was used on our wedding day. This was the right time for a reminder. Continue on your faith journey.

Blessings!

Mom: I’m so happy that this post made your day. And you are so right, He never forsakes us and He is the great architect.

Auntie Jan: Ah, God works in wonderful ways. Just as I told mom, I’m happy this post helped. It encourages me to keep sharing whenever I can as I never know when God will let it touch someone’s life. I pray the Lord will help you through the challenges you face and that he pours out his blessings on you.

There’s no greater love than His love. We should have Valentine‚Äôs day each day, celebrating God.

Indeed Respiro, there is definitely no love greater than His.
