Prayer for Christlikeness
I’ve often wondered what my purpose as a Christian was. Have you? Well the Lord answered that question recently at a bible study I attended. Our purpose in life as a Christian is to be like Jesus. And the more time we spend with God is the more we will become in his likeness. Here is a prayer I read and prayed recently that speaks exactly to that:
Dear Jesus, help me to spread your fragrance everywhere I go. Flood my soul with your sppirit and life: penetrate and possess my whole being so completely that all my life may be only a radiance of yours. Shine through me and be so in me that everyone with whom I come into contact may feel your presence within me. Let them look up and see no longer me – but only Jesus. Amen. – John Henry Cardinal Newman
Let us all strive to be more like Jesus each day. Let all that we do be for his glory and not ourselves. Let people see his goodness in our lives and let us not keep it to ourselves but share it with others, so that they may receive the promise God has for all of us.
Have a Blessed holiday season. May God bless you all richly.

To live in such close proximity with Jesus that we look like Him … sound like Him … and as this prayer suggests … even smell like Him … is a difficult, challenging and wonderful way to live, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.
May your relationship with Him be so close that you lose track of where you end and He begins. May you be one with Jesus.
Thanks for stopping by Steve. I love your site by the way. May your relationship with God grow each day also. May he Bless you and Keep you and make his face to shine upon you.
Blessings!
